The bathroom is one of the most-used rooms in the home. Even if you have more than one, they will all get more than their fair share of usage. Bathrooms are also multi-purpose rooms, and are a necessity, but have you noticed how quickly a bathroom can start to look a little tired?
Here are a few ideas we have found to have your bathroom looking fresh, clean and beautiful without having to break the bank.
1. Fresh Tiling
If you are even the slightest bit competent at DIY, there’s no reason you can’t tile your bathroom. Even if you just want to put a couple of rows of new tiles around the top of the bath – which can look very nice indeed.
It’s a cheap and cheerful way of having your bathroom look like it’s had a make-over. There’s plenty of help videos on tiling on the internet, so have a look.
2. Clean up the Grout
Have a look at the grout between the tiles, and the edging where the bath meets the wall; you’ll likely see it’s discolored. This happens over time because of the inevitable exposure to moisture.
You can clean it easily – just use your usual kitchen or bathroom surface cleaners – and it will look bright and fresh in no time. The big thing here is this tip costs next to nothing, just a bit of time and effort!
3. Ask the Professionals
I know, we’re talking about budgets and professionals cost money, but you may be surprised how affordable it can be to have a new bathroom installed. This will also add value to your home and is a great thing to do if you are thinking of selling in the near future.
A dedicated and established company such as BRM designer bathrooms will be happy to talk to you about possible options, and they will give you a quote for your bathroom requirements free of charge. Give them a call – you have nothing to lose!
4. New Blinds
Have a look at your windows; how old are the blinds or curtains you have hanging there? You can find a whole variety of very beautiful blinds, in different types, materials, and colors, and they are surprisingly affordable and also easy to fit.
Hanging new blinds will be a job that anyone can handle, and with a little time taken, you will find new blinds make a great difference to the look of your bathroom.
5. Fresh Coat of Paint
Our final suggestion is s simple one: give the painted areas of your bathroom a fresh coat! Maybe even change the color or shade – simply moving to a lighter or darker shade can give a room a whole new look – and it’s easy to do, and quick and cheap too.
Those are just a few of the suggestions we came up with for bathroom improvements on a budget and we are sure there are many more, so have a look at your bathroom, and see if you can come up with inspiration.
